Bigger Fish to Fry

Anyone can tap into the Infinite.  Age is never a barrier.  You don’t have to be physically agile to dip into the quantum field…just willing.  So, what is your Spiritual agenda?  To be more loving, joyful, compassionate, creative, supportive?  Find out by asking that part of you that already knows.  Let your Higher Self take the lead and then follow it to discover what it has in mind for you to live your highest purpose.

Let’s go.

Bigger Fish to Fry

You Are a Perfect Yet Expanding Being, in a Perfect Yet Expanding World, in a Perfect Yet Expanding Universe. — Esther and Jerry Hicks, The Teachings of Abraham

joshua tree coolWhat an exciting time to be on this planet. Something extraordinary is happening and we are an important and necessary part of it. We are here to expand our consciousness beyond our wildest dreams. And everything is in place for us to successfully accomplish what we came to do. It is already done!

But here is the catch. We have to be aware of and act from our connection with Spirit. Our small self cannot know or share in the joy of this expansion. Our small self is either telling us that we aren’t good enough or puffing us up with false pride that is just a lot of hot air. These tactics do not work on God’s playing field. God and only God. That is all that is needed. And since we already know this, all we have to do is practice, practice, practice.

It is time in our evolution to give up the drama. The “poor me” story or the “look at me, aren’t I grand” story that we have been telling about ourselves forever and ever is what holds us back from experiencing the gifts of our expanding nature. When we let go and let God, anything is possible. Just imagine.

On your mark, get ready, get set, GO. This is the moment. Let’s commit to being all that we are meant to be. And, if the ego tries to assert itself in any form, big or small, we must turn away and pay no attention. We have bigger fish to fry.

Let’s leave a sign on the ego’s doorstep: GONE FISHING!

Affirmation:
Today I release all smallness, tap into my participation in an ever-expanding universe and remember that I have bigger fish to fry.

Process: Expanding Consciousness

This is an activity for any age but clearly so appropriate for the wise elder.

Being all that we are meant to be doesn’t necessarily mean doing or accomplishing anything. It is more a state of being and an opening to being more and more of what God would have you be.

It may be for just a moment. That is fine. Notice how you feel. Notice if there is a new thought that wants to emerge. Allow it to float up into your awareness. Perhaps it is just a moment of feeling Love in your heart. Maybe it is an idea you want to share with a friend. Perhaps it is an insight that will help resolve an ongoing issue that has been clouding your vision. Now, in a moment of silence, here comes clarity. Divine Guidance.

If you are inclined, do it now.

Turn within to the stillness.

Release the outer world of effects.

Listen in the silence.

Do it often throughout the day.

Just take a moment to check in with yourself. If you feel the Love even just for a moment, be thankful. Each time you deliberately go to Spirit for refreshment and Love you expand your consciousness a little bit more.

Now when you come back to your daily activities, you may notice you have a slightly different angle on what you are doing. Perhaps you bring more love or patience or understanding. What a little moment can do!

Your true guidance comes from your connection with Spirit. As you listen in the silence you may notice something new emerge. Welcome it. It may seem strange since most of our thoughts are the same thoughts recycled over and over. In the spaciousness of the silence there are infinite, big ideas waiting to be made manifest.

One or more of those ideas may just have your name on it. And, if it does, Spirit will connect you with everything you need for your success.

If you think you are too old to fulfill a dream, think again! Open to your guidance and see what happens.

And please, let me know.

  1. I believe our bodies are the earthly terminal for Source energy and the ego is a focusing mechanism so our personality, if it were undistorted by stuff from outside, and inside, would be what Source would look like channeled thru our particular set of genetics. I am awear that sometimes their seem to be different personalities in the driver’s seat. So I have an Observer Self too. I suspect that my Bigger Fish is really just learning how to be a ballanced and well grounded human who values even the most mundane experiences, and when I encounter things that must be stopped because they’re painful and destructive, I immediately ask for solutions and see if there are any immediate steps I can take right away in my own life. I want the energy I channel from Source to be aimed at an improved situation. The rest of the time I just enjoy enjoying. Have a delightful day everybody, and thank you, Marsha, for this offering.

  2. Baby steps here. I had 9 people coming over last night and I founding myself running all day getting ready. I stopped, sat in stillness for 5 min. (it’s a slow start) and after that– Things just fell into place without all the frantic activity. I relayed my experience to my friends and handed out your card to all. I’d love for friends to join me in this journey. Thank you for this gift. Love you, Nina
Gotta go, have some sitting in stillness to do (maybe 10 min. this time)

  3. I often visualize the old hasidic maxim that we walk around with a little scrap of paper in the right hand pocket of our jacket and another in the left. One says “you are the apple of God’s eye.” The other says “you are nothing but a speck of dust.” When I feel the poor me rising to the surface, I read the one that says I’m the apple of God’s eye and when I feel all puffed up I read the one that says I’m a speck of dust. And both are always true.

  4. What Susie says is very true. We create our reality, either we are the apple of God’s eye or we are a speck of dust. I usually look in the mirror and see mostly my imperfections, but recently someone said I was pretty. For a day or so, when I looked in the mirror I saw pretty. Tomorrow? who I will create looking back at me?
